It’s so easy to beat ourselves up if things don’t work out the way we’ve planned, or if we make a mistake. But guess what – we’re human, we’re allowed to make mistakes. That’s how we learn and grow. Albert Einstein said „A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new”.
There are quite a few billionaire businessmen who lost everything in the course of their careers, and then built it up again from scratch. They picked themselves up and tried again. And again, if necessary.
Fear or failure is what prevents us to follow our dreams. But did you know that one of the biggest regrets people have at the end of their lives is exactly that they didn’t follow their dreams. „I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me”, they say. One thing is certain: if we fear failure and this fear wins, we’ll end up regretting missed opportunities.
So then, how do we deal with fear? We need to acknowledge that the fear exists, that it’s there, but at the same time feel the calling of our heart and a deeper truth whispering to us „make a move, begin, don’t be afraid because this is who you are, this is waiting to be expressed, this is your gift to the world.” When we live our truth, when we at least try, heaven is on our side. We’ll get support, we won’t be alone.
Acknowledging the fear, but moving forward in spite of it is the only way to achieve what’s important to us and have a sense of fulfillment. Even if we don’t succeed at first, it’s a move in the right direction, that will bring us closer to our dreams.
